About Me
— who I am
I am Mpairwe Lauben, a DevSecOps engineer and applied ML practitioner based in Kampala, Uganda, and co-founder of Iona Institute of Technology (ionatec.com) — where we ship production AI for East African operators.
By day I run CI/CD, cloud, and security posture at **AIBOS Uganda**. Outside that I train models, build agentic systems on the Claude Agent SDK and LangGraph, and instrument MCP servers that expose tools to LLMs. I'm equally comfortable hardening a Kubernetes cluster, evaluating a RAG pipeline, or shipping a Flutter release.
I collaborate well, document thoroughly, and take security posture seriously. I mentor junior engineers, write in public about what I learn, and contribute upstream when the work warrants it.
